Accounting Department Honors Outstanding Alums

Four alumni were honored during the 45th annual Accounting Awards Dinner this spring. The Michael A. DeAngelis Award is given to alumni for their outstanding professional achievements. Recipients were (from left) Matthew Melinson, CPA, ’93, partner for state and local tax at Grant Thornton LLP; Donna M. Massanova, CPA, ’00, partner and Employee Benefit Plans Practice Leader with ParenteBeard LLC; and Gerald J. Kochanski, CPA, ’75, MBA ’84, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Nephros Inc. The Jack Reardon Young Alumni Award, named for Jack Reardon, ’59, professor emeritus of accounting and former Accounting Department Chair, was presented to Jackson W. Oliver, CPA, ’03 (right), manager of mergers and acquisitions tax with KPMG LLP.
