La Salle University to Host Debate of U.S. Senate Candidates

La Salle University will host a debate between U.S. Senate candidates Joe Sestak (D) and Pat Toomey (R) on Sunday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the University’s ballroom in the La Salle Union building.
Toomey was a member of the House of Representatives for three consecutive terms, representing Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District. Sestak has represented Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District since 2006.
Sestak is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and later earned a Ph.D. from Harvard University. Toomey graduated from Harvard, and spent six years working in the international capital markets. He and his brothers later founded a successful restaurant chain.
The debate will last 75 minutes. Each candidate will have three minutes for an opening and closing statement. Questions will be taken from the audience. The moderator is Bill Bova of the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN). The debate will be streamed live on www.pcntv.com, and on Monday, April 12, PCN will broadcast the debate at 8:30 p.m.
